Wide Angle

June 1, 2010

The morning was different, though it was the same scorching May sun,

All geared and excited, stepped in the lounge thinking it will surely be fun…

It was d day; my longing got an end,

I wonder was that an end, or in that interest, it was a new turn…

With warm greeting and filling up forms, usual was the beginning,

All the novices introduced in a style new to start the training…

But it compelled me to think a bit, who really am I,

A different chord struck, and there I used a “wide angle” to capture my life’s inning…

She was apt for her name, and taught with truly different bend,

Weekend ended but in true sense, there was so much I gained…

Added to my knowledge, making it more neat,

And with that gracious lift, a new friend I added to my world with bliss…

Time for a tour, which was no trekking, no leisure in peace,

Still with an excitement to try something different, at the destination, we finally reached…

So different d experience, hot May sun was desired to add “light and shade”,

And those “bhaiyas” were welcomed, to capture them natural and candid…

That yummy chocolate mud pie, didn’t lasted in mouth for long,

All my pictures left me with a sigh and mouth open with no words but “crappy”…

Ashamed of my work, I still put them up for critics,

It is just a start I realized, when it was time to end and for the closing ceremony…

Fun filled and excited, full of learning from the students so frivolous,

That’s about my experience of the workshop for which I was so curious…

All geared and excited am truly on my way to live for my dreams,

The mornings are different, with new zeal and another perspective…

I didnt realise you guys like the mud pie so much especially cause u and harika just managed to finish one between the two of u… and poor sagar finished one between churchgate and bandra :) (giving excuses that he is a slow eater)

But yes the workshop was good… special thanks to harika, sagar, Santosh and Aaskah for a super session.

    Cheers

    Hi vivek,

Thanks for the mud pie’s. Really liked them. Although coudn’t finish one by self coz bith me and shweta have a small appetite for sweets. But we totally relished it. Yeah sagar is a slow eater. No wonder he never gets to eat a lot in the studio when we gang upon the food.

It was great to have you as a student for the weekend workshop. I hope you will incorporate all that was taught during the class in your photography from now on.Keep shooting and make us all proud.

Wish you loads of success today and always.

    Cheers!!

    harika.
